A street-wise kid Mark Sway sees the suicide of Jerome Clifford a prominent Louisiana lawyer whose current client is Barry 'The Blade' Muldano a Mafia hit-man. Before Jerome shoots himself he tells Mark where the body of a Senator is buried.
